CONCEPT STUDY — NOT A CLIENT ENGAGEMENT
Harbor Church: a complete guest-first website concept
Harbor Church is a fictional demonstration created by Steeple & Signal. It is not a testimonial or a claim of paid client work. The concept shows the strategy, design depth, and connected experience available in a full church website transformation.
The fictional brief
Imagine a growing neighborhood church in Annapolis that wants to feel rooted, warm, thoughtful, and easy for a first-time guest to understand. The website needs to serve the curious visitor and the active congregation without becoming an announcement board.
The design foundation
The visual system draws from the harbor at golden hour: deep blue, warm light, restrained coral, editorial typography, subtle wave motifs, and spacious storytelling. The result intentionally has its own identity rather than repeating the Steeple & Signal brand.
The connected experience
- Guest-first homepage and plan-your-visit journey
- Messages and sermon-series discovery
- Ministries for children, students, groups, and care
- Events, giving, beliefs, leadership, and contact
- Responsive layouts designed for real phone use
What the concept proves
A full website engagement is more than a polished homepage. The value is a consistent system across every major visitor path, with clear language, strong information hierarchy, and a maintainable structure for the church’s weekly life.
