CHURCH WEBSITE CARE

Keep the church website
current, secure, and useful.

A church website should not become outdated the month after launch. I provide defined ongoing care for routine content updates, technical maintenance, monitoring, and support—without pretending a maintenance plan includes unlimited redesign or communications work.

01

Important information goes stale

Service times, staff information, events, ministries, and next steps need a dependable update path.

02

Maintenance is nobody’s responsibility

Updates, backups, broken links, integrations, and platform notices are easy to miss when ownership is unclear.

03

Small requests become large delays

A documented request and response rhythm gives staff a clear way to keep the site useful.

Clear scope.
Useful outcomes.

$250
per month

The starting plan is for an eligible church website with a defined monthly update allowance. A short baseline review confirms platform fit and existing technical condition.

Every proposal defines:
  • Monthly update allowance
  • Supported website platform
  • Response and support windows
  • Hosting, domain, and platform fees
  • Redesign and new-page requests
  • Emergency or after-hours support
01

Baseline

I document the website, platform, access, integrations, current condition, and responsibilities before care begins.

02

Maintain

I complete the agreed routine updates and technical maintenance through one organized request path.

03

Monitor

I watch the agreed availability and maintenance signals and investigate issues within the support window.

04

Report

You receive a concise record of completed work, open risks, and any larger improvement I recommend.

A good fit.

  • A stable church website needing routine stewardship
  • A recent website project that needs ongoing maintenance
  • A team that wants one clear path for small updates

Probably not a fit.

  • A compromised or severely broken site needing a recovery project
  • A church expecting unlimited design and content work
  • A platform I cannot access or support responsibly

Maintenance is not a redesign retainer

The care plan protects a stable website. New campaigns, large page builds, copywriting, and redesign work receive their own scope so expectations stay clear.

Good questions,
clear answers.

Is hosting included?

No. Hosting, domains, paid plugins, and platform fees remain in the church’s own accounts unless a proposal explicitly states otherwise.

Does the plan include unlimited changes?

No. The written agreement defines the monthly allowance, response window, and supported request types. Larger work is quoted before it begins.

Can you care for a website you did not build?

Sometimes. I first review the platform, access, condition, licensing, and technical risks. A cleanup or migration may be necessary before ongoing care is responsible.

What if the website goes down?

I investigate within the agreed support window and coordinate with the hosting or platform provider. No maintenance provider can guarantee uninterrupted third-party infrastructure.
